SYRACUSE, NY – It was a night of firsts for the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints Saturday night at Autodrome Drummond. For Ontario, NY’s Chuck Hebing, he passed Justin Barger on lap 19 to collect his first A-Main victory on the 2009 racing season. Also, the victory marked the first win for the new Roush-Yates Ford power plants.

GRANBY, Que – Steve Poirier hasn’t had the start to the 2009 racing season he would have liked. The two-time defending Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprint Champion struggled in early action so far this season with his best run a fourth two weeks ago at Utica-Rome Speedway.

JZ Back On Track in Canada with ESS Series |
|
|
|
Jessica and team are on their way to Canada to compete in the two race swing of the Empire Super Sprints. Friday night the #1z will be at Autodrome Granby and Saturday it will be inside the pits at Autodrome Drummond. The 360CI sprint motor has been fixed (completed at 11pm Thursday night 6/4) and JZ is ready to rock.
Keep your eyes open for results and a whole lot more as Jessica tries to put the white and purple Maxim chassis in victory lane for the second time this year.

Races Skipped as 360CI Motor is Repaired |

Jessica and team decided to forgo the ESS events at Oshweken (5/29) and Merrittville (5/30) while their 360 motor is worked on after the issues it had at Utica-Rome Speedway. She also decided against running the USAC events in Pennsylvania. Instead she worked on getting her car ready in the hopes of running the ESS shows in Canada on June 5th and 6th.

Jessica would like to make the 2009 season an even more eventful racing season than years past. Male or female Jessica has proven she is a winner and that she has the competitive drive and commitment to make it to the top. Being a female in a male dominated sport has obviously turned some heads in the northeast and also in the racing industry.
